May God Bless Each Of you,

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have ever lasting life.

Dear Ones, today's message is dealing with the One who gives the command, leads us in the path that we are to take and then intercedes for us when our troubles do come. What a joy in knowing that we have such a High Priest that is touched with the feelings of our infirmities and is able to handle any situation that come upon us.

We are talking, Dear Ones, about One who is our everything; the joy of our salvation, yes he is.............Amen??? Amen!!! We are talking about One that is seated at the Right Hand of God, for you and I when we boldly come to the throne of grace, to obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. How are we doing church???

We want to thank each of you for your prayers for Deacon Okie Smith, God brought him through the surgery and is blessing him daily to the degree that he is talking about what he is going to do when he gets all of his strength back. Eighty-seven years old and his first hospital stay; isn't God good???? Oh yes He is!!!

On another note, we have been contacted by another "The Church Of God" out in Kansas City, MO., they found us and have been viewing the sermons. They are excited and looking forward to meeting us one day. Please remember them in your prayers also and I do thank you.

Love to you all and May the Grace of God be with each of you as we enter into yet another New Year,

    The Pastor

May God Bless Each Of You,

And a Merry Christmas to all.

Minister Dave, brought forth the message, speaking on the Miracle of Christmas; drawing attention to the greatness of God the Father, who chose a Virgin to bear His Son. Not just a young woman, but a young Virgin; one who had not been touched by man, in ways that we of today know, causes one, naturally to be with child.

We would like to draw attention Dear Ones, to the last page of Sunday's Program, which each week are words of wisdom given unto us, from God, by the Pastor.

We were down visiting with Deacon Okie, who had been hospitalized, but is at home, recovering from surgery. Just before eating his breakfast, he asked if I would read for him Psalms 132:1-18; When finishing, the 12th verse caught my attention because we had been dealing with certain issues within the family.

It is very important Dear Ones, for the generation following the father to keep the covenant and the testimony, taught by God, so that the third generation might be blessed through obedience also and inherit the promises.

Throughout my years of preaching in the Williamsburg James City County Jail House, we often heard the words, "my grandma used to tell me that". Well my question to them was, "what did your parents teach you?" Many Dear Ones, could find nothing that was taught by the parents, so the generation following the father, had fallen by the way side and was left to choose it's own way of doing things; the end of course were places such as the Jail House or even death.

The only way that David's grandchildren were to also sit on the throne of David, would be through their parents being doers of the taught ways of He who gave the "Covenant and Testimony", of what was to be. Amen??? Amen!!!

The Elder Lightfoot Solomon Michaux, the Founder of The Church Of God, made unto Deacon Marion O'Connell (Okie) Smith, Sr., a Covenant and Testimony of righteousness, and in order for the grandchildren of Deacon Okie to sit on the throne also, the first generation after him must keep the covenant and testimony, as was taught. How are we doing church??? Speaking of my generation, my brothers and sisters, must hold to the things that we had been taught from the very beginning; not deviating to the right nor to the left, but holding forth the teachings as was taught; And in doing so, our obedience will cause the generations following, to inherit the blessing of sitting upon "the seat" of glory, which he (Deacon Okie) sat on, here on earth. What a revelation!!!

Love to you all, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year coming, if the Lord so be willing,

    The Pastor

May God Bless Each Of You,

As we enter the Season of Giving, we are reminded of the one gift that is for a life time. God so love us, and the love that He had for us, was also in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, because He so loved us that He gave His life that we might live eternally with all others who choose or have chosen, to live godly.

In this message of the day, God has the answer for all souls which do belong to Him, but the soul that chooses to sin against Him, shall die. And the soul that chooses to live like Christ, will live eternally with Him.

This is the solution for the souls of mankind.

Love to you all and Enjoy and do have a wonderful safe Christmas Season.

    The Pastor

PS.  and we ask that you will remember Deacon Okie Smith in your prayers, he was rushed to the hospital this morning and is being prepared for surgery as of 3:00 pm this afternoon. We will keep you posted.

  • 2009-12-06 Sermon: The Proof of Sonship
by thechurchofgodatwmsbg on February 28, 2010 at 2:05 AM

May God Bless Each Of You,

"But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel" (Philippians 2:22)

Dear Ones we must consider the importance of the connection between us and God. Are we really like Him? Are we aligning ourselves with those of yester-years? Can we prove our own selves how that Jesus Christ is in us? This is the message of the day, "The Proof of Sonship".

Dear Ones, it is very important for each of us to know who we are. If you will allow your minds to return to Christ in the wildness, satan came asking Him "if you be?" He wanted Jesus Christ to doubt who He was, if so He would have lost His place with God and we would still be in our sins. But He know who He was and that He was the Son of God and the things in which He did, demonstrated Sonship.

Now unless govern ourselves as He did, we cannot be classified as sons of God. Amen??? Amen!!!

Today's message, Dear Ones, gives us all a clear definition of Sonship and the proof of "It".

    Love to you all,

    The Pastor

  • 2009-11-29 Sermon: Is It Thanks What I'm...
by thechurchofgodatwmsbg on February 28, 2010 at 2:00 AM

May God Bless Each Of You,

In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Dear Ones, as we have come through the Day of Thanksgiving, the question came forth in the Sunday's message, Is it thanks that we are giving?

On Thanksgiving Day, we met down on the farm, to give thanks to God for the land that He has blessed us to have and to enjoy. A glorious land, eyed by many, but given to the People of God, through the faithfulness of His Servant, Elder Lightfoot Solomon Michaux.

The old song that has been sung for years was sung Thanksgiving Day 2009, Faith of Our Fathers Living Still. What the Elder started years ago in coming to the farm, we continue to do so, and that is gathering to give thanks to God for the land. What a blessing!!!

The message on that day centered around the relationship between God and Abraham years ago, and then the relationship between Elder Lightfoot Solomon Michaux and Marion O'Connell Smith, Sr. One was old and childless, yet a covenant (meaning a promise) was made saying, "Unto thy seed have I given this land the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates." Now to the other, Marion O'Connell Smith, Sr., who did not even have a girlfriend at the time, was told that the farm would be, said the Elder Michaux, "for you, your children and for your children's children.

Deacon Marion O'Connell (Okie) Smith Sr., spoke of the time that he first came to the farm for Thanksgiving, which was in 1940; a Brother Lewis, who was farming the land at that time, had left two rolls of corn standing, one for the sister to shuck and the other for the brothers to shuck. Well when they turned them loose to begin, he said, "the sister out shucked the brothers" we all laughed.

He reminded us of the importance of the land, why we had it and why we are here today. He spoke of how those when the Elder would come in, he would gather the people, have them to kneel in prayer, giving thanks to God for the land. He also spoke of the time and how that he wanted it to go back to 12:00 noon, because as the Elder Michaux had said, "it is the hour of prayer". So next year, if the Lord so be willing, we will go back to 12:00 NOON, to begin our service of the day. Amen??? Amen!!!

Dear Ones, as we enter the Holiday Season, we asked that you will please be mindful of others, rather than yourselves, for it a time of giving and God did so for you and I. Amen??? Amen!!!

    Love to you all,

May God Bless Each Of You,

The people of old were told to choose this day whom ye are to serve. Joshua said, but as for me and my house, we are going to serve the Lord.

Minister David, brought forth this message speaking along these same lines, but with a question about your decision, "is it the right choice?" This Dear Ones is something that we should ask ourselves day in and day out, because each and every day, we are making decisions; some are not so good, and some are the best that we have ever made. This is the question that is asked during the Sermon.

We also ask that you will remember Deacon Okie Smith in your prayers as well as Deacon Paul Smith, Sr., both of whom are under the weather.

Love to each of you, and please keep me in your prayers,

May God Bless Each Of You,

Can two walk together except they be agreed??? This question has brought about a great deal of thought, for it reaches from the throne of heaven to the gates of hell.

Dear Ones God is the Author and Finisher of our Faith, without Him we are nothing; for in Him we first of all live, we move, and and then have our are state of being; therefore we must agree with Him, if we expect to enter into the Eternal Life that He has promised all, who love and obey His every command.

To each, may we examined ourselves and see where we stand in the faith, prove our own selves of how that Jesus Christ is in us, unless we be counted as being reprobates, meaning void of understanding.

I would like to challenge all to examine yourself and see where you are, when it comes to obeying God's command; If you see that you are not in an agreement with Him, they may I invite you to repeat and turn your heart over to Him today, right now, for He stands waiting for you, whomever you might be.

It is essential that we as men and women, boys and girls, agree with Him.

    Love to you all,

    The Pastor

May God Bless Each Of You,

Praying that all is well and that your faith fail not. Dear Ones, you cannot serve two masters. We all were born in sin, and is the servant of sin. Once we come to realize that Jesus Christ is the answer and did come to deliver us from the destruction of sin, we are born again and become the servants of righteousness. Amen??? Amen!!! This is the question that you each of us must ask ourselves, because we don't want to appear before the Judgment Seat Of Christ (which we all will appear) and find out then (which will be too late) the servant that we have been. Examine yourself today; if you are a servant to God, then happy are ye. If the servant of sin, repeat today and turn to God, who will abundantly pardon.

    Enjoy...............

May God Bless Each Of You This Day,

God in His own special way, reveals His secrets unto us, by His Servants The Prophets. Oh yes, Dear Ones, there are still Prophets in the earth today, and they are still speaking the Word of Prophecy for whosoever will believe and be blessed. Amen??? Amen!!! Now there are major prophets and there are minor prophets. Heavy hitters and light hitters, none the less, they are hitters. But in every generation, there will be a Major Prophet which God will use to bring forth His Word, that the people might believe and be blessed.

Enjoy and love to you all,
